Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake shut down "beef" rumors
Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake are shutting down rumors that they have beef.
The rumor originated when a video of their interaction at the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night went viral on social media.
In the video, Timberlake could be seen saying something to Megan and her giving what appeared to be a heated response.
Her gestures were interpreted by fans as anger, leading to strong criticism of Timberlake. Some of Megan's fans even threatened the singer and declared that they were still holding onto a grudge from the infamous Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" incident during their 2004 Superbowl performance.
Megan's fanbase, known as the "Hotties," expressed their intent to make Timberlake accountable for whatever they assumed he had done to upset the Houston native.
However, Megan later shared a video on TikTok, showing her and Timberlake meeting up after the "incident" and seemingly enjoying each other's company. She captioned the clip with, "I just talk with my hands lol @justintimberlake love ya."
Reports indicated that Timberlake had approached Megan backstage at the VMAs and expressed his happiness at finally meeting her.
The "heated" video clip was apparently just Megan's excited way of telling him, "No, this doesn't count. We've got to meet properly."
It seems the two celebrities did indeed have a proper and friendly meeting, as evidenced by Megan's TikTok video.
It's not uncommon for interactions to be taken out of context, especially on social media, and it's great that they were able to share a friendly moment together clear up the rumors of a fued.
